Cinnamon Vanilla BBQ sauce

In our mission to make the ultimate BBQ sauce, we have gone all the way back to square one and started from scratch. Instead of tomatoes, we use onion as a base. Sauteed until you can see through it, then put together with honey, syrup and vanilla to create a rich layered sweetness. Dark sherry vinegar, fresh lemon juice, soy and Worcestershire sauce balance the sweetness with sourness and umami. Three different peppers bring the heat, and cinnamon adds the finishing touch.

What do you use this sauce with? We'll give you a hint: it's called BARBECUE :-)

But actually, this is an everyday hot sauce that goes well with everything. Enjoy it!!

We make our Chiloreo Hot Sauces in The New Farm, a unique spot in the Hague that we share with Craft beer brewers, Mead makers, Coffee roasters, a baker and a sausage maker - and a unique rooftop bar with a spectacular view. You’ll recognise it by the greenhouse right on top of our roof!
