The word turquoise comes from a French word meaning “Turkish,” likely because the stone was introduced to Medieval Europe by Turkish sources. Turquoise is a popular gemstone that is said to bring luck, peace, and protection, and it’s also one of the birthstones associated with December. Turquoise has a strong connection to the throat chakra and helps to enhance communication and expression.

OUR STORY

Schmuckoo Berlin was founded in 2016 in Berlin, Germany. They offer exquisite jewellery designs made from Silver 925, featuring colourful semi-precious gemstones. All Schmuckoo’s pieces are made in 18ct gold plated silver with a layer of 18ct gold one-micron thickness. In addition to that, there is a layer of anti-tarnish, that makes gold plating last forever. Each and every piece is stamped with the 925 mark that represents the degree of purity of sterling silver and all our pieces are regularly tested by the Intertek, which is a third party to check purity of silver and the thickness of our gold plating. The gold plating process applied is of a high standard. The process they use is called ‘electrolysis’, which makes the gold plating last forever making the jewellery very durable.
