OUR STORY
Gin Gin is an Amsterdam brand founded by 3 sisters, who share a passion for creativity in all its shapes & forms, entrepreneurship and a slight obsession with jewellery.
The idea for the brand emerged during COVID when Otalia, the original founder, lost her corporate job. Left with very little money and hope of maintaining the life she loved in vibrant Amsterdam, she was determined to overcome these hardships. Otalia decided to team up with her two sisters, Leila and Melissa, and leverage each other's skills to create what is now known as Gin Gin Jewels. The Gin Gin Sisters were resolute in their mission to never rely on a single source of income and to create a brand that would one day be truly unparalleled.
The Gin Gin Sisters spent most of their childhood in West Africa, raised by their Cameroonian mother, who was herself in the African jewellery trade, and their French father. Throughout their lives, they have been surrounded by strong and proud women, common traits among African women. Inspired by these teachings, they aim to empower all women across all continents to embrace their individuality, recognize their beauty, and uplift one another. Their jewellery is designed with this spirit in mind. Each statement piece is crafted to inspire confidence and enhance the unique beauty of every woman.
