Tea tree: the medicine of the Aboriginals
The leaves of the tea tree have been used for generations by the original inhabitants of Australia, the Aborigines. The tree was given the name 'tea tree' by the famous explorer James Cook. The tea tree oil is well known for its anti-bacterial properties, which makes it a real must-have for your medicine cabinet.
How to use tea tree essential oil
Please note, tea tree oil is for external use only, and may irritate sensitive skin. Make sure to dilute it with a carrier oil, such as almond or avocado oil. Test a small amount of skin before applying to larger zones.
Before you apply it, make sure your skin is clean so that the tea tree oil can absorb properly. You can put a few drops of oil on a cotton swab (diluted in a carrier oil) and apply it directly to the desired spot.
You can also make a footbath in which you dissolve 10 drops in a bowl of warm water.
A few drops of tea tree in your shampoo can strengthen your hair and help keep it beautiful and healthy!
